Utility Star has incorporated a module which provides the interface with most major credit card processing software providers such as MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. Customers are able to store and upload their credit card information into ASI software. Customers may make credit card payments by phone or at an authorized utility payment station. ASI has incorporated another module called CustomerDirect for Electronic Bill Presentation and Payment (EBPP) system. CustomerDirect is an online bill pay web portal that works in concurrence with ASI’s credit card processing module so customers can make payments via the Internet. Utility organizations can eliminate the need for 3rd party connections and they can avoid passing any service charges to their customers. However, Utility Star software can integrate with utility companies existing third party credit card processing software application.
